ESP project references: recorded on a stated basis

Every Arrow Energy reference is recorded in the same nine fields: customer (or anonymised class), site, country, fuel, boiler capacity in t/h, gas flow in Nm³/h, scope, inlet and outlet dust in mg/Nm³ at stated O₂, and year. Customers are named only with written permission; the physics is published either way.

01 — The record format

Nine fields, no exceptions

A reference you cannot interrogate is an anecdote. These are built to be interrogated.

Arrow Energy Co., Ltd. records every project reference in the same nine-field format, part of the company's open engineering resources. The fields exist so that a procurement engineer can compare a reference against their own duty in minutes — same units, same emission basis, no prose in between. A record that omits the O₂ reference or the gas flow is not a weaker reference; it is not a reference at all.

Why aren't all customers named?

Because Arrow names a customer only with their written permission — many plants treat emission data and supplier relationships as confidential, and a reference published without consent is a breach of exactly the trust the reference is meant to demonstrate. Records without permission are anonymised by class: industry, country and capacity stay; the name goes. The engineering fields are never blurred.

The policy costs some marketing shine and buys something better: every figure below can be defended in a technical meeting, and a named reference on this site means the customer agreed to stand behind it.

03 — Reading the numbers

How to read a reference emission figure

The basis line is not fine print. It is the figure.

How should I compare a reference outlet against my permit limit?

Convert both to the same basis first. A concentration in mg/Nm³ moves with the oxygen reference: correct with the factor (21 − O₂,ref) ÷ (21 − O₂,measured). An outlet of 24 mg/Nm³ at 6 % O₂ dry is a different physical quantity from 24 mg/Nm³ at 11 % O₂ — comparing across bases flatters whoever chose the higher O₂ figure.

Two further cautions. First, reference outlets are measured results for that plant's fuel, load and inlet conditions — they are evidence the physics works, not a promise it transfers unchanged; guaranteed figures are stated per project after the technical assessment, on a stated basis. Second, check the year against the fuel: a 15-year-old reference on the same fuel your plant burns today is often worth more than a recent one on a different dust. Engineering questions, answered

Why are customers anonymised in Arrow's reference list?

Because naming a customer requires their written permission, and many plants treat emission data as confidential. Rather than publish names without consent or figures without basis, each record is anonymised by class — for example, a 170 t/h bagasse-fired sugar mill in Thailand — while keeping the engineering fields intact: t/h, Nm³/h, and mg/Nm³ at stated O₂.

What does inlet and outlet mg/Nm³ at stated O₂ mean in a reference?

Dust concentrations are only comparable at the same oxygen reference: diluting flue gas with air lowers mg/Nm³ without removing a single particle. Every Arrow reference states its O₂ basis — 6 % O₂ dry for solid-fuel boilers on this site — so a 24 mg/Nm³ outlet can be compared honestly against any permit or competing measurement.

Can I speak to a reference plant before ordering?

Where the customer has given written permission to be named, yes — contact visits and direct engineer-to-engineer calls are arranged per project. For anonymised records, Arrow can disclose further engineering details (fuel analysis, train configuration, test protocols) without identifying the plant, and can request naming permission for a specific serious enquiry.
